On October 28, 2008, St. Jude College will mark its 40th year anniversary. As such, SJC will observe a year-long celebration with the theme “Celebrating 40 Years of Quality Education Founded on Christian Values” which will be highlighted by a series of relevant activities.

    Among the proposed activities that will be undertaken are jubilee contests (i.e., essay writing, singing, debate, quiz bee, logo-making), school/department week celebrations (i.e., Science Week, Guidance Awareness Week, Nursing Week, etc.), Sports Fest and others. Some activities that were already held included Mr. & Ms. St. Jude 2008 and Students' and Teachers' Day.

    In line with the proposed activities is the creation of anniversary committees – the executive and steering committees. The executive committee is composed of three ex officio members in the person of Dr. Evangeline A. Del Rosario, SJC President, Dr. Teresita C. Corpus, Executive Vice President and Dr. Lourdes C. Lacandola, Vice President for Administration and five regular members which include Dr. Jesus G. Gallegos, Strategic Management Consultant, Mr. Regino R. de Guzman, College Prefect of Discipline, Dr. Reynaldo A. de Ungria, Administrative Program Officer, Dr. Raul Rafael M. Ramos, Financial Comptroller and Mr. Emmanuel R. Osumo, Laboratory Services Head.

    The steering committees, on the other hand, includes a Jubilee Contest (chaired by Dean Raquelito F. Padilla), School/Department Week Celebration/Exhibit, Mr. & Ms. St. Jude 2008 (chaired by Dean Alexander C. Rible), Employee Development (chaired by Ms. Ma. Ja. Victoria Lualhati), Liturgical (chaired by Mr. Edilberto Lumanog), Employees’ Recognition Day (chaired Ms. Lualhati), Teachers’ Recognition Day (chaired by Dr. Leticia P. Atienza), Students’ Day (chaired by Dr. Clarita C. Lantion), Sports Fest (chaired by Dean Rufo B. Aggarao), Promotions/Advertisements (chaired by Mr. Russel John T. Cosing), Medical Mission/Hospital Activities, Finance (chaired by Dr. Ramos), Awards (chaired Dr. de Ungria), Food and Refreshments (chaired by Dr. Lourdes Lacandola), Physical Arrangement (chaired by Mr. Edgardo B. Velasquez), Program and Invitation (chaired by Mr. Robin M. Galapon), Reception and Ushers (chaired by Dean Rible), Security and Order (chaired by Dean Aggarao), Ruby Anniversary Souvenir Program (Center for Research, Development and Publication Director), and Concert.
