THADDEAN BATCHES 1974, 1977 COME BACK HOME
Reminiscing the joy of their college years, 33 decades back, the St. Jude College (then St. Jude School of Nursing) batches 1974 and 1977 came back home for a reunion last January and March respectively.
The class of 1974, most of are now based in the United States, held their grand reunion night at Discovery Suites in Ortigas Center, Pasig City last January 06, 2007. The night was full of joy and excitement as after 33 years of distant
comradeship, they were once again reunited and were able to catch up with each other’s lives. Moreover. parlor games, surprise presentations and gift raffles jazzed up with the gracious presence of current SJC President Dr. Evangeline A. Del Rosario, SJC first principal (1968) Mrs. Consuelto Suelto, and SJC second principal (1975) Mrs. Josefina Loarca, made the event louder and livelier. The following day, the delegates extended the time to be with each other (and their vacation in the country for the foreign ones), as they tripped to Impee-Sumadsad-Javier’s (one of the alumna) Resort in Caluan, Laguna.
On the other hand, the class of 1977 celebrated their 30th Alumni Homecoming from March 3-7, 2007. The celebration commenced with an anniversary bell held at the Paranaque Ballroom in Makati Shangrila-La Hotel on the night of March 3 with Dr. Del Rosario as the guest speaker
and Mrs. Loarca giving the closing remarks. The following day the alumna offered a mass at the St. Jude Chapel with Mrs. Leticia Gonzales-Francisco as the commencement while the other alumna did the readings of the scripture and offered flowers, fruits, wine and host a symbol of their love to our Creator. After the mass, Alumni Office Head Mr. Russell John Cosing gave them a tour of the facilities of the college and hospital. Afterwards, SJC Second President Dr. Felicidad Calip-Atienza joined them for lunch at St. Jude Hospital Social Hall. And on the 5th – 7th of March, they went to Puerto Galera (Coco Beach Resort) to continue their bonding and enjoy their stay in the country.

Truly, genuine friendship lasts and conquers time and distance. Despite the length of time of being apart and the different roads they are now travelling, they still managed to see each other again.
